Actually I've just read the listing of the libpcap decoder example from
Rich's link and... it's quite nice isn't it? Note the blessed lack of
bloody brackets everywhere. I can only just recognise it's ML heritage
although, as noted, I wasn't enamoured enough really get into it 15
years ago. Yes, it reads quite nicely doesn't it, and it promises to run
fast, seems like there's a lot to like - I wonder if it's in the repos.
Damn it Walter, if this sets me off learning a new language for the pure
hell of it my girlfriend is going to kill you!
Although maybe I could sell her on the long term efficiency savings?
