Up until about 3 months ago I was happily doing /etc/init.d/foo start|stop.

Does 'service' actually do anything different?  I guess it will be
required in the brave new world of systemd.

People will be overjoyed to know the latest scheme: transparent
network support in the graphics layer is obsolete and going to be
removed.  (Maybe time to move back to FreeBSD?)
