I have just acquired a Thinkpad T510+ running Fedora (it shipped
completely OS-free), and it is superb.  There is no significant part
of the hardware that is unsupported as far as I am aware.  I had an
older Thinkpad X60s which had an unsupported winmodem.  The T510+
doesn't appear to have any modem.
