Ben, I'm not having a go at you whatsoever, but we had these
discussions on Linux lists more than ten years ago.
Ten years is a long time in IT.

Just log on to jobserve these days and search for "linux" as a skill.
The list runs to hundreds of vacancies.
Your employers are dinosaurs.
