In that case, I'd suggest you start by making a generic image just to
get something that boots, and then customizing it by copying the root
filesystem from the installed system over to it excluding the /boot,
/dev, /proc, /sys, /mnt, and /tmp hierarchies. See rsync(1),
especially the --exclude option, and try --dry-run before doing it for
real.
