I recently bought a toshiba TV and is have a DLNA client on it. (The
TV seems to run an embedded linux).

Rather than use a full Myth Server and Client I installed minidlna on
my linux box

This gives dlna and upnp, my android phone also has a dlna client on
it as well.
So there is some weird and funky music and video sharing going on
around the house.

Anyway minidlna is small fast and simple.
