Dear GLLUGers,
My thanks to those of you who have made suggestions about my changing
MAC address with each new boot.
Delving further, I've discovered that I have a number of wired
connections as illustrated below.

The first Wired connection 1 has a MAC address of 00:1B:B1:44:17:6D,
belonging to manufacturer Wistron Neweb Corp in Taiwan. The other three
appear to be local values judging my their MAC addresses.
Could this proliferation be the problem I'm seeing, as outlined at the
beginning of this message?
What should I do to solve the problem? Create an eth0 connection?
Thank you once again for any help you can offer.
Regards,
Mick
