That is 100% unrelated to the package manager. Anyone that wants to
claim otherwise better be prepared to back it up with hard facts. In
fact, I've only ever come across a single significant problem with
RPM[1]. Every other update problem I've ever heard of has been due to
third party packages being installed on the system, something that
would cause exactly the same problem on dpkg based distributions.
