I also had a similar experience with Sky. They replaced my router in the
end after I finally reached the Master Socket which entailed me having to
move lots of furniture. The most infuriating thing about Sky is that you
can only use their equipment and they won't supply you with your ADSL
username/ password so you can't even test a faulty connection with another
router. I think there terms and conditions insist on using there equipment.

Saying that, I'm still with them as for the most part the service is
working well.
