Kulu Valley is a growing innovative company who have built an impressive list of blue chip enterprise clients attracted by their market leading communications platform. Current systems are Solaris based but we're in the process of transitioning to CentOS.

Role:
This roles primary mission is to support / maintain a Java Web based application. You'll be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/ configuration, operation, and maintenance of the Company’s platform software and related infrastructure deployed onsite at their enterprise customers and on their own hosted platform. 

Responsibilities:
Systems installation & configuration - Installing and configuring the software components onto a number of environments, both the Company’s own hosted cloud-based infrastructure and designing, managing and deploying specialist set-ups within Enterprise-level clients’ environments.

Application and Systems Support - Investigating customer escalations (3rd/4th Line) and solving technical issues arising from the live systems to the customer’s satisfaction; deploying, defining and setting up monitoring systems for the platform. The individual will also complete second line support of the application using a wide range of skills and technologies.

3rd Party server management – Servers and other hardware is outsourced and hosted by a third party. Managing the 3rd party to plan and implement all changes and maintenance of the hardware and virtualized instances.

The I&S team is the frontline contact point for all new customers and existing customer relationships. The projects, technology and tools are varied which provides members of the team many opportunities to learn new skills and be involved in a number of activities.

Experience:
You will need to have experience of deploying and supporting websites and web/browser based applications in enterprise environments. With at least three years’ experience of third level or direct support with the following technologies and skills:
	•	Linux system administration (Solaris would be a bonus!)
	•	Java web application deployment and support (inc. Apache, Tomcat) 
	•	Strong Networking (TCP/IP) skills required (CCNA a bonus) 
	•	Database set-ups and deployments (MySQL, Oracle) 
	•	Video streaming and associated protocols (desired)
	•	Strong problem solving abilities 
	•	Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
	•	Client-facing attitude and presentation 
	•	A good level of technical ability 
	•	A keen interest in technology and helping the less technically minded
