   You said that you are using Debian Sid (unstable), so I assume that you
had used an up-to date installer (there are around 5 new dated and numbered
versions generated daily) and had done frequent updates.
   The Debian Jessie installer, the current version in testing, is usually
built weekly on Monday mornings, with alpha-1 expected om Monday.
