Hi
The firmware version can be transferred that's fine
If you have a conner drive that is the similar it may help also as I have
read that the heads used are the same
or alternatively a seagate drive that is similar may help also
I know some people keep these old drives in storage
but i know some people have trashed them also
but i know that some one may help
