Although their services are delivered over BT's wires, they are really
good at poking BT with a pointed stick and keeping on poking until
digits are extracted. They will even take over lines with known faults
and undertake to get them fixed. Most importantly, they do all the
interfacing with BT (although they let you watch) so you don't have to
deal with any back-and-forth blame-shuffling.
I also discovered last night that amongst the industry standards which
they subscribe to they claim XKCD/806 compliance, which can only be a
good thing.
