Ok I've spoken to Paul Corner, he's happy to do a talk on Linux CNC
systems and Real Time Linux. He's going to do a software demonstration,
from what I understand it (EMC) uses C and TCL

He's down this way on the 19th-20th October and would like to do the
presentation on Sunday (20th).

I asked him what equipment he'll need,

2 x 17" monitors (I can supply one... anyone else?)

lots of mains outlets. Can anyone suggest a venue as he may be bringing
a small lathe and a large pc to demonstrate controlling it with Linux?
The Cross Keys is probably not the best place for this, nor a library.
Is there anywhere reasonably private like a village hall or something?.

Lastly, Pauls going to be driving quite a way out of his route to get
here, is there anyone who could put him up for the sunday night? I know
it's a bit awkward but the guy will be driving 80 miles or so off his
route and will be our first guest speaker. If someone could put him up
it would be very cool, he sounds very normal and I'll pass on his phone
number and email.

Guy
