Hi, thanks for the reply Paul,
Well got an update for you, after re-installing RH8.0 again but this time
with no firewall I am able to get in via SSH fine and keyboard work,
although I still have the problem with the keyboard not working directly in
the box.
my keyboard config say:
/etc/sysconfig/keyboard
KEYBOARDTYPE="pc"
KEYTABLE="uk"
same as yours.
Anyway after logging on via ssh and running startx, up comes kde and the
keyboard works fine. dunno what the problem is running directly from the
shell, but at least I can use the system now. When I then exit out of SSH
remotely and KDE quits so that it goes back to the shell, the keyboard
works and I can log in!?!
If anyone else has an idea what the problem is please let me know.
Thanks again.
