...because I have two complimentary copies of it (Issue 33) as kindly donated by Linux User to our LUG.

The issue features articles on the use of Linux in films (Shrek, Jurassic Park etc.), the new 64-bit Opteron processor from AMD, lots of small business case studies and tutorials on Database recovery, IPv6, LaTeX as well as a spanking new and gorgeous 3-CD RedHat 9 which would be a great way for any Linux newbie to start with Linux.

If anyone would like to borrow a copy (or just the RedHat CDs), let me know (fbarton at ntlworld.com) and you can pick them up from me in Stroud or Cheltenham.

To get a taste of the mag and download previous issues' articles, visit linuxuser.co.uk .

Is there a case for a number of members of the LUG committing to club together to fund a group subscription to Linux User or Linux Format, for the CDs as much as anything else???

Francis
PS It's actually called GNU/Linux User & Developer, for the pedants out there.
PPS Thought the subject of this email might attract your attention!
