Hello Steve!

Just give Mepis a try. It is so easy to install. The Live distri has
an install icon and if you don't want to have important datas on your
current harddisk, you can leave all the work to the install routine.

It is in my eyes the easiest way to run a linux os. Everything worked
at once and it is as easy as the Windows XP to install.

If you need help and you are near Cheltenham/Gloucester you can ask me
or I can come along, if you like.
