Hello All,
Thanks Barbie for your ideas for the meetings of the GLUG. My interests
are running a Desktop Linux and a small network (preferably with a
debian system). Although I am working with Linux mostly with GUIs and
not with the shell, I would say I manage the most things you need to do
to administrate a Linux. Probably I could be of help for people that
want to setup easy a Desktop Linux to do business (wordprocessing,
calculation etc.) or leisure (internet surfing, emails etc.). My
interests is to understand the underlying system off Linux but stuck
with all the shell commands so I would like to find somebody who
explains things to me/us in a meeting. I am also happy to show in a
meeting how to install a common distribution and to explain how to work
around problems (if this is not too boring for you specialists :) ).
Probably it could be of help for some people would like to have
assistance to make the change from windows to Linux.
Unfortuneally, I work 3x13 hour days a week including saturdays and I
cannot attend after such a day as I am not able to do anything after
such a shift :(. But nevertheless that means I would have 4 days off and
I only need a certain time to plan in advance if somebody arranges a
meeting.
And last but not least I apologize in advance, if my grammar or
vocabularies are sometimes wrong as I am not an native speaker... but I
try to improve my english...
Looking very forward to meet you soon in the near future.
Best regards
Christian
