I'm sorry, I don't use CUPS so I'm unlikely to be any use, except as  
another pair of eyes.  I've done a bit of error tracking:

Message sequence 1:
- Unable to open listen socket for address :::631 - Address family  
not supported by protocol.

Stats:
- Error appears frequently from 20 Aug - present.

Stats:
- Appears 17 July, 2 Aug.  Those are the only errors I could find in  
the period Feb 2006 - 19 August 2006.  There are some errors before  
that but I take it that you have used the printer in that timespan!

There are a lot of warning and error messages on 20 Aug.  Does that  
sound like a plausible date for the beginning of the current  
symptoms?  Have you printed since then?
