Hello All,

I try to help a friend in Germany with his Linux Computer and tried to
establish a Remote Desktop Connection over the web with the two Linux
Computers. Both computers run behind a hardware firewall router. On my
LAN, everything worked fine with Krfb and Krcd.

In the LAN the whole thing is clear and working. I get the invitation
with the LAN IP and the password, then I contact the other computer in
the LAN with this LAN IP and when it accepts the request with yes,
then on my computer the password is requested and after I typed that
in the desktop of the other computer appears on my screen.

My questions:
1. His invitation contains the LAN IP of his computer e.g.
192.168.2.5. How can I connect to his computer as his real IP to
contact his router on the internet is a 85.103.45.26 or so?
2. As Krfb/Krcd is listening on the port 3389, do we have to open the
routers firewall on this port?
I know, there is a gap in connection to the computer in Germany and I
don't know what it is. Can you help me out with this? Thanks in advance.

Christian
