Hello All,

Here a short feedback to the Grub problem on a Notebook. I told in an
earlier e-mail, that we decided to use Knoppix instead of Mepis on
this Notebook as the LiveCD of Mepis did not start but Knoppix. So we
installed Knoppix on the harddisk but when my friend tried to start
the LiveCD of Mepis later it suddenly started. So we think on the
first try the installed SuSe bootmenu made the LiveCD of Mepis failing.

With other words, if you have problems with the bootloader of a LiveCD
check out what Linux is installed on the computer already.

Hope it helps to give a feedback here if and how a discussed problem
is solved.

Best regards
Christian
