Hello Steve,

As I had to solve some problems with my Linux I was a bit quiet about
the idea to hold a install party somewhere on a computer related event
in Gloucestershire. As I moved here recently I don't know where such a
event could take place. One idea could be Gloscat or so. What we would
need would be 2-3 computers, one showing permanently a slide show with
different features of Linux, a wireless LAN access to show the
internet capability and we could make a time table where we show in
10-20 mins workshops how to work with Openoffice, how to change the
appearance of the desktop, how to install and uninstall software etc.

We need of course volunteers who are willing to cover such an event
for this time.

Any ideas about this would be great to get something started.
