[Gloucs] Opensuse xgl and ati radeon x1600

Hi all have been trying to get 3d accellerator working on my open suse
10.2 system, however am having problems with my graphics card, anyone
else experienced this?
My system is as follow's
Opensuse 10.2
2gb ram
2.6 Ghz AMD dual core processor
ATI Raedon x1600 graphics card
140 Gb Hard Drive
If anyone has any advice it would be appreciated.

Gareth as offered to adopt the beast so it may live again.
When I get around to updating the website I'll make sure it gets a
