[Gloucs] Dell Inspiron 15xx series laptops

I'm about to take delivery of a Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop with MS Vista. 
One of the first things I'm going to do is dual-boot it with Ubuntu 
(probably the Alpha 2 pre-release of 8, Hardy Heron, as this will be a 
long-term support version).

Does anyone here have an Inspiron 15xx series laptop, or any machine 
with an Intel GMA X3100 or similar series graphics card? If so, would 
they mind me possibly bothering them with questions if I encounter any 
problems?

The main things I want to get running initially are the dual boot, the 
wireless networking card, and Compiz.
