Excellent idea. I have several of scripts that I could show off. A
couple are publicly released too :) I doubt any single one would take up
more than about 5-10 minutes. 

A selection are:

* database remote backup script
* XHTML website validation script
* camera to HDD copy script [1]
* editor backup file removal script

[1] this also uses EXIF data to correctly adjust portrait/landscape
photos, as well fix the timestamps.
