I must apologise for my sloppy English !
I read the figures off the screen -  they are of course on the screen for this to be possible !
As each item is downloaded,  there is a figure for the download speed displayed on the right of the screen.

Not trying to be clever here (no, really), but what do you mean they are
"off the screen"? And if they are off the screen, how do you observe them?!
