Sounds very similar to an article on The Register last week. It was
about MS leaving the mobile phone hardware business. IIRC, they've
killed of their 2 month old mobile phone after spending a couple of
billion developing it. The article said they'd bought some mobile
phone startup company and failed to integrate it into MS and it all
went belly up. Much maligning of management in the article.

Just thought, I could search for and link to the article.
