Certainly you can install OpenLDAP, Kerboros and Samba to provide "Windows
domain logon" functionality, but unless you really need multiple domain
servers or certain esoteric features, that's way overkill.

What is it you're trying to achieve, how many users are there and how many
separate offices are involved?
