Hi,
Its better if you can get a router, then you don't have to worry about any
other module. Plus it gives you more options. If you buy a cheap one-port
ethernet router, you can plug a cable into one end of the router, and then
the other end into your Linux box, and then use standard TCP/IP setup
(available with most installs as an easy set-up getting details from DHCP
inside the router). Config of router is web based.

We are due to get broadband, out here in the sticks in north Herefordshire,
by the end of December.
In anticipation I am starting to look around to see what might be needed.
Now does anyone know if the modems that either Tiscali or Wanadoo supply are
Linux compatible?
If not, have any of you got reliable broadband connections up and running at
present, with other ISP's. Bearing in mind that this is for private
purposes and needs to be reasonable.
