Yes this is almost certainly because X is correctly configured....

Thats, o, its only two minutes of time, but save you a an afternoon ;-) We 
were all at taht point at sometime. Gary Watts actually had a similar problem 
in Linux today needing to know what the sam ecmd line command line was for 
Fedora to cahnge the graphics card setting ie redhat-config-X (or something 
like that )
