I think this will be added in Ubuntu Breezy Live Cd to make it more 
knoppix like also with a easy to use installer from the live cd.

The only way to do this is like you would do it manually ie :-

sudo mkdir /media/hda1
sudo mount -t auto /dev/hda1 /media/hda1
df :- to check its mounted
