I doubt that any of the files on the CD are of any use for Linux, I
believe the foot icon is just a 'this is a generic unknown file'. The
only useful file would be a .ppd file. This is a O/S independent
printer definition file that can be used with CUPS to drive a printer.
Anyhow if your having problems with the driver in Ubuntu try
http://www.linuxprinting.org/ and find out how well your printer is
currently supported.
