[Herefordshire] printer driver from disk

Hi all
I have a problem with the printer driver which came in my Ubuntu distro
and want to try another driver from an Epson supplied disk. I can see
lots of files on the latter with foot icons, for Linux presumably, but I
don't know how to make use of them. I guess startman.exe or epsetup.exe
might be useful....if so what should I do?
