[Herefordshire] looping boot

Hi Julian,

As suggested I tried to set up LILO and thought I had a dodgy MBR, so used
FIXMBR to repair. Then I found LILO did not like my lilo.conf entries and
after reading everything about LILO I could find, I was soon able to boot
Fedora and XP. A bit more ferreting about and in /etc/fstab and I can now
boot all three systems with LILO.

I may revisit GRUB at a later date as I hate an unsolved problem.

I saw your advice about how to retain /home and this is my next problem. I
tried to use the same user name on the same /home partition for both
Mandrake and Fedora but neither now like this user, ho, hum.

Many thanks for your help.

Gordon.
