[HLUG] Ubuntu 6.04 initial specification/General Linux Usability

Hi

Now that Ubuntu Breezy badger 5.10 has been released its interesting to 
see what they are going to do with the next release. Reading the link 
below its going to all be about excellent usability - I'm really pleased 
that a Linux distro is really taking this seriously.

IMHO, Open Source projects concentrate a bit too much on features rather 
than usability. There are still far far too many things on the std Linux 
desktop that aren't immediately obvious. Newbies hear about the free 
software, improved security, lack of viruses, but are all too often put 
off from using Linux full time by the lack of attention to detail and 
'polish'

Linux should aim to make a desktop that is BETTER than Windows, not just 
as good as.

What does everyone think ?
