[HLUG] laptop advice needed

hello all,

i'm thinking about getting a cheap laptop to install ubuntu server on.
i want to play with ssh and a laptop will take up a lot less space
than a second pc. i have no experience with laptops and i was hoping
someone might have some advice.

it needs -
a usb port for my usb key,
a network card,
a processor that can run ubuntu server, ssh, vim and ogg123.

that's all.

any suggestions? the cheaper the better.
