hello all,
there was a request for suggestions for the next meeting. there are a
couple of things that i'm interested in, but can't do at home. apt and
ssh. i can't do apt because i don't have an internet connection and i
can't do ssh because i only have one pc right now. if anyone is
willing to do a quick demo of either of these at the next meeting it
would be greatly appreciated.
i've installed unreal tournament under ubuntu and i really enjoy not
having to reboot into windows every time i want to run around shooting
stuff. i'm interested in trying out some open source first person
shooters. does anyone have any reccomendations?
i'm downloading the latest version of nexuiz (link below), it's a
networkable shooter based on the the darkplaces engine. (link below).
it isn't as pretty as modern games, but it can run on some fairly slow
machines.
thanks.
john.
