I've seen these errors too - they weren't fatal, but a thorough HDD 
check is recommended.

If you do use Spinrite, look at the SMART stats and check that the HDD 
is not too long in the tooth hours-wise, nor been running too hot.

I recall Chris Williams (SLUG's LUGmaster) making a pronouncement on 
this very problem a couple of months ago - might be worth posting to 
SLUG list and asking there.
