hello all,

just noticed a couple of fantastic options in the file menu on
synaptic. "generate package download script" and "add downloaded
packages"

"generate package download script" builds a bash script full of wget
commands to get all the package you need for the programs you have
selected to install and "add downloaded packages" adds all the
downloaded packages to synaptic.

this is fantastic for someone like me on dialup. i could go through
clicking all the programs that i'd like to install, use the "generate
package download script" and email the resulting script to a friend
with broadband who could run it and burn the downloaded files to a cd.
i could then load them files into synaptic with "add downloaded
packages" and install them.

fantastic idea.
