There has been a lot of publicity on various non linux/oss tech 
websites, also the EEEpc(Available in PC world in hereford now, albeit 
overpriced, glad I bought mine when I did, the prices seem to keep on 
going up!. The comedic effect of it sat next to a 17 inch uber-megatron 
laptop is quite astounding.) is incredibly popular, and there is a new 
ubuntu release just around the corner. There is also a fair amount of 
dissatisfaction with vista.

I hope that there will be a continued growth in usage, but whether that 
will happen is anyones guess.
