[HLUG] Udev problem

Yes, tried that with a Knoppix DVD. Make menuconfig went fine, compile  
stopped with Errors. Same with a LinuxMint live Dvd, and SuSE live ces  
without make!
Solved the problem with copy & paste: wrote (with Knoppix) sudo make  
&& sudo make modules_install [return] in a text file, bootet normal  
system, copy & paste commandline (including the return) to terminal,  
after compile back to Knoppix, copied the bzImage and edited grub.conf.

Still got a few kernel issues now, but they can wait till next year.  
Probably just downgrade udev again and use the old kernel.
Got all the parts for a new 'puter now anyway, and then it'll be  
goodbye gentoo.
