[HLUG] pdf into .odt file

I'm thinking that instead of creating a  combined document as a .odt file I 
should put all into a single pdf file. I have adobe reader9 but it does what 
it says: acts as a reader. To combine pdf files into one large one is an 
editing task I can't do! Should I be able to?
