[HLUG] wireless on ubuntu lucid

I have a weird situation with the latest version on my Tosh laptop....

everything works fine (except my webcam which has never worked with 
Linux)....but when I try running Cheese (to test the webcam) it kills my 
network connection and I have to leave my pc for a couple of hours until 
it blings back into life....
