[HLUG] Boxes for ISFD

Dear all,
 
in particular those coming to ISFD tomorrow with a PC. Please could you write up
a description of your box with the following information;
 

PC spec checklist.


Brand/model name  Approx year of manufacture


CPU type and speed ( eg AMD Athlon K6 1.8 GHz
RAM available
( these are the two principal factors which determine how well an OS fits a PC)


OS installed
Partitions


For example I have an old laptop with;
WIN 98
Winapps
Music
Pictures
all as FAT32 and then
Root
Home
Swap
linux partitions with PCLinuxOS.


I would imagine most would not be this mangled.


Any special purpose SW installed in addition to the distro.
Then email it to Sarah as a text only file. She will then make up an A5 card
with common formating and laminate them.
