I have added a page on the project to the HLUG website with some details
of what the projects aims and expected outcomes are

http://www.herefordshire.lug.org.uk/node/95

the text is based on a document which we will be sending through to
primary schools at the end of august.
I have not added the link into Tony's Tuxedu page as it's still in
progress but will do once Tuxedu is properly up and running.

I have also expanded the info on the SFD page

Posters have started to go up in Leominster for SFD so please don't
forget to put at least one up on your local noticeboard/village
Hall/shop etc -

May I draw particular focus on this from members in the south and east
of the county; areas which we failed to reach in either of our previous
events. I will be covering the centre of the City early next week, but
any extras in the outskirts - eg newsagents or public buildings... just
print and post :)

I'm looking for a low-cost, very low-cost, email list server service for a
local community group, Cycle Hereford. Can anyone point me in the right
direction.

Couldn't they use google groups or yahoo groups which provides a free service? Or do they/you want something on their own/your server?

Tony.

Hello. I've had a request via Twitter from Rugby LUG to use our SFD poster as a base for theirs - they're asking for the 'base document' to use as a basis. I can't see a problem with that, it's in the spirit of open source, but it's not my decision so I throw it open to debate :D

Just to add the Twitter account has accreted a few followers and has had a number of retweets, so it's going in the right direction, if slowly.

Kind regards

I don't know if this link will work, but it's to one of those paper.li things - the SFD event is in it, picked up from a link we posted from the OpenSure Twitter account.

As Jools made it, it's his call. I would want the scribus folder with
all the inserted graphics if I was going to do this, and they need to
make sure they have the relevant scribus version - they are not all
cross compatible.

Good stuff with the networking :)
