Hi Steve,

Stirling XS, Morgan, etc offer refurb laptops with no OS installed. Also 
you have the option of buying something on ebay with no hdd; or of 
contacting suitable community based IT recycling groups like our chums 
at Bristol Wireless.

There is no price advantage for retailers to offer a non window$ OS 
because of the pre-loaded trial SW they get paid to include, so there is 
basically no opportunity for punters to buy brand new kit which is OS free.

PLEASE someone prove me wrong :)
