Colin's pared down press release is up on pirate pad in the publicity 
section - so please take a look 
it would be good to add a bit about our education project at the end 
Heather can you think of a short couple of sentences for this? 
We usually use the PR wording for the main email out to organisations 
and businesses to let them know about the event so bear that in mind 
when suggesting improvements 
We need to finalise wording over the weekend ready to email it all out 
next week 
any news on logos/visuals Julian?

Here is an amended version of some bullet points I use to introduce Vinux - I have removed references to accessibility and changed 'Vinux' to 'Ubuntu'. Maybe it could be of some use?
