Hi 

Just a quick reminder about this month's LUG meeting tomorrow ie Wednesday. 

The HOSS day went very well and Sarah is bringing some photos her friend 
took of the event. I think there's a video somewhere shortly to be on 
Youtube of Dr Mark's speech too. We will be reviewing what went well, what 
didn't, and how we can get more people to come along next time. 

As usual, pls bring your laptops, netbooks etc, and if you have a linux/open 
source problem, we'll try and help. 

We hope to see new members who have joined because of Saturday's event too. 
If you can't be there in person at the mtg then join us via pirate pad. I 
will be there from 7:30pm & look forward to meeting everyone. 

Any new members *please* come along, we're an informal bunch, so you won't 
be left out ! We don't bite ... honest ;-) There's coffees, beers, and food 
available and free wifi/parking too. 

The meeting is as usual at the Point 4's cafe/bar opposite the Blind College 
in Hereford, directions are on the website. It's easy to find, just follow 
the RNIB signs around the city.

Hi all, 

The videos I recorded of the award presentations and the speech by Dr 
Mark Wright at our Open Source event last Saturday are now on our new 
YouTube channel.

I had to divide the speech into 4 parts because it was 48 minutes total 
(with the Q&A session) and YouTube's limit is 15 minutes per video.

Yes, I was going to bring them along on a USB stick this evening (I also 
have the speech as a single video). Will you have your laptop to copy 
them onto? They are AVI files with XVID video and MP3 audio.

It took about a minute to download about 3 to 5 seconds - welcome to BT 
Herefordshire :-(

it was instant for me and my broadband can be iffy - nice, clear and 
good images - as I was busy keeping an eye on the laptops and Tim & I 
were talking to visitors who came during Mark's talk I shall now be able 
to actually listen to what he said - many thanks Paul 
Can you put a blog post & link up on the HLUG website as well - cheers 

I am bringing Carolines pics tonight which are for the period up to when 
Mark Wright arrived.
