yes a lot of schools seem to use education city and espresso it does not
preclude using Tuxedu though 
education city is as I understand it very curriculum and topic driven -
plus teachers can log children's progress (assuming they have internet
access that is) which not all children do at home and some schools such
as Fownhope struggle with.

If most of the software you are running is net based schools could use
tuxedu on classroom machines either standalone or as a dual boot
Schools tend to run XP which is now coming to it's end of life so it's
an ideal time to offer them an alternative which is costless, faster and
more secure.

glad you think tuxedu is better  :)  we've yet to meet a child who has
not been excited by it.
