Hi Geoff, it depends on what method Kevin used to install it to USB - normally the default option is the one you want - or Live if you have to choose. If you choose live or other options what actually happens on the screen - does it display any error messages?

The contents of the USB flash drive are displayed as "install", "isolinux", "live", and eight others.
None of them result in anything that looks usefull.
